Sample Premise.

A Tokyo college student is attacked by a ghoul, a superpowered human who feeds on human flesh. He survives, but has become part ghoul and becomes a fugitive on the run.

How would I describe this show in one word?

Sample word.

Note This series finished off on the 25th but I wasn’t free enough to watch its final episode and review it at that time.

Review Tokyo Ghoul is an edgy dark fantasy about a world where humans and man-eating "ghouls" struggle to coexist. This story is highlighted from the life of Ken Kaneki, a young boy who’s misfortune ended up in him being a ghoul as well as a human. With a total of 48 episodes, Tokyo Ghoul is depressing, existential and super edgy.

Readers of the Manga have called this series a total disappointment for its lack of faithfulness towards the source and a gradual dip in animation quality can be observed throughout the series. Nevertheless, it's still engaging, packed with action, drama and blood spilling. Even though I haven’t read the manga, I was reasonably pleased with the series overall, despite the infamous second season, and loved most of the characters in it. If you’re looking for a casual and entertaining show with a dark touch, Tokyo Ghoul would be perfect for you. I’d give it… RATING: 8/10
