How would I describe this film in one word?
Sample word.
Note
My mind got an instant flashback when I watched this classic I had long forgotten. Spirited Away is the only academy award winning anime out there and it’s got a very ‘Disney’ feel to it.
Review It's a fantasy/drama about a young girl attempting to escape a world where she and her parents got trapped in while exploring it. The first thing that struck me about the film was its use of multiple bright color palettes in a single frame, making most scenes a soothing treat to enjoy.
The plot is simple without drag, credits to the amazing Hayao Miyazaki. The main theme of the film is love, which could be understood and inferred with relative ease, making it family-friendly and enjoyable for everyone, yet one could dig deeper to explore some interesting themes Miyazaki tries to silently convey. The most uniquely impressive aspect about the film is its sound quality, maybe I paid too much attention, but the use of sound in this film is splendidly crisp and clear. If you’re looking for a film that'll take you back to your 6-year-old self or one for the whole family to enjoy during the weekend, Spirited Away would be perfect. I'd give it… RATING: 9/10
