How would I describe this show in one word?

Sample word.

Note Finished this series today, while watching Hunter X Hunter simultaneously.

Review Code Geass is a mecha anime dealing with Lelouch Lamperouge, a young Britannian teen aiming at overthrowing the tyrannical reign of those in power through the power bestowed upon him called "geass". Its plot and characters are very similar to that of Death Note and I personally felt it was the superior anime (fight me rawrr). Though it has got all the typical elements of a mecha anime like robotic action sequences, physical violence and drama, what makes it stand out is its deeply philosophical commentary on politics, morality, justice and war. It’s an anime that makes you see find altruism and logical reasoning among both sides of the battle. Quite often I came to a point where I questioned my morals for supporting the actions of the protagonist and sometimes his opponents as well.

However, the climax was brilliant for its unpredictability and perhaps it’s even the greatest out there, I’d be annoyed if they released season 3. The things that really bothered me were the preposterous amounts of Michael Bay-esque explosions and promotions (there’s a ton of Pizza Hut promotions in it and idk why). Nevertheless, I enjoyed Code Geass, especially season 2, for it’s deep commentary and engaging plot. I'd recommend this to anyone who liked Death Note or other mecha giants like Macross and Gundam. My personal score would be… RATING: 9/10
